Participatory Budget Process

A total of 5 proposals will be selected from the proposals made by the citizens. Through direct vote, it will be decided which proposals should be incorporated and which actions should be carried out in the next municipal budget. These proposals will be related to the protection and safeguarding of rights, and will be evaluated by the General Assembly's Human Rights Committee.

Theme and objective

Communication with a focus on rights and transversal training on Emerging Human Rights. This is the core of this participatory process. 100,000 will be allocated from the municipal budget to finance proposals aimed at such objectives. What proposals? Those of the citizens. Phases

• Proposals. Presenting proposals to safeguard the application of rights.
• Supports. Of the proposals of the citizens we can support those that we believe should be carried out. Each citizen has 5 supports. The 4 proposals that have received the most support will go on to the next phase of evaluation.
• Technical validation and prioritization. The citizen proposals that have passed the previous phase will go on to be technically evaluated according to the previously established criteria. Those that meet these criteria will be prioritized by the Participatory Budgeting Working Committee, which reports to the General Assembly.
• Voting. Once the proposals have been assessed and prioritised, citizens will be able to decide which of the total number of proposals they consider should be included in the municipal budget. They may choose as many proposals as they wish, as long as the sum of their amounts does not exceed 50,000 euros.
